MISS KELOWNA LADY OF THE LAKE
The Miss Kelowna Lady of the Lake Award is presented to the candidate with the highest score throughout the candidacy program. Scores are compiled from judges as well as trainers. Miss Kelowna will go on to represent the City of Kelowna for the next year, and is provided a bursary.
KELOWNA'S PRINCESS
The Kelowna’s Princess Award is presented to the candidate with the second-highest score throughout the candidacy program. Scores are compiled from judges as well as trainers. Kelowna’s Princess will go on to represent the City of Kelowna alongside Miss Kelowna for the next year, and is provided a bursary.
LADY IN WAITING
The Lady in Waiting Award is presented to the candidate with the third-highest score throughout the candidacy program. Scores are compiled from judges as well as trainers. Lady in Waiting will go on to represent the City of Kelowna alongside Kelowna’s Princess and Miss Kelowna for the next year, and is provided a bursary.
TALENT AWARD
This is awarded to the candidate with the top score in her talent from Speech and Talent night and is provided a bursary.
PUBLIC SPEAKING AWARD
This is awarded to the candidate who has proven herself to be the top Public Speaker at three judged events. These events were the Spring Tea Speech, Speech and Talent Night and the Pageant's Impromptu question. A bursary is awarded.
FRIENDSHIP AWARD
This award is chosen by the candidates. It is a reflection of the support and friendship seen within the candidates in the program. The Candidates form a special bond – they support and encourage each other throughout the program. It is a true honour to be the recipient of this award since you are selected by your peers. No bursary is awarded.
Blossom Award
This is presented each year to a candidate who has shown unique personal growth during the six-month training period. The recipient of this award is chosen by the Society trainers and receives a bursary.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AWARD
This is based on the candidate’s volunteer effort during the candidate program. Each candidate is asked to present a resume of their volunteer experience. A bursary is awarded.
AREA KNOWLEDGE AWARD
This is awarded to the candidate who is most knowledgeable about Kelowna, this is shown by receiving the highest mark on the area knowledge exam completed by all the candidates. A bursary is awarded.
